Kacper Sztuka is the Italian F4 2023 champion!

Something that recently seemed like fiction has become a reality near Rome today. Kacper Sztuka won the second race at the Vallelunga circuit and became the champion of the Italian Formula 4 2023!

The US Racing driver started from pole position twice during Saturday’s competition at the Autodromo Vallelunga. During race 1, in the first few turns, he had to defend himself against the attacking drivers from Prema. Maintaining the lead was unsuccessful this time.

However, the afternoon turned out quite differently. Kacper, in a similar situation after starting from the front of thegrid, made a decisive move at the first braking, closing the chance for his rivals to beat him in this race. In the second half of the race, the Pole had fantastic pace and secured a confident victory. Thanks to Ugochukwu’s lower position at the finish, Kacper Sztuka became the champion of the Italian F4 Championship 2023 one race before the end of the season!

He achieved this despite a +5-second penalty the stewards gave him for what they deemed a too quick restart after the safety car period. However, this did not stop the Pole from reaching the biggest success of his career, and the most important for polish motorsport junior racing since the times of Robert Kubica. In 2006, Kubica won the World Series by Renault, which opened the doors to Formula 1 for him.

“I am very happy with the success I achieved today! Winning the Italian Formula 4 Championship has been my dream since I was karting. It seemed unreal just a few months ago, but the hard work we did with the US Racing team meant that we dominated the second part of the season. I would like to thank my family, close ones, coaches for cheering me on at every step, and partners from ORLEN S.A., Extral Aluminium, Tenutado, and Drew-Lech for the support, without which this success would not have been possible. And last but not least – I thank you, the fans, for being with me through thick and thin. Today we can all celebrate the championship title together!” – concluded a happy Kacper Sztuka.
