Kacper Sztuka completed successful FIA Formula 3™ Championship tests at the Imola circuit. The Italian F4 champion had the opportunity to familiarize himself with a completely new car under various conditions, and the pace was more than promising.
The last few weeks have been very intense for the Pole. Just over a week ago, he clinched the championship title in the Italian F4 Championship, and today he can boast another valuable entry in his racing CV.
The official FIA Formula 3™ Championship tests were Kacper’s first contact with an F3 class car. The MP Motorsport team was responsible for its preparation. He completed a total of 114 laps over two days of testing at the Imola track.
Aside from minor technical issues on Tuesday morning, the 17-year-old had smooth runs in various weather conditions. Kacper was gaining confidence behind the wheel of the Dallara F3 on Monday, resulting in a top-ten pace during the opening session of the second day. The tests concluded with a rainy session, but the track quickly dried up on Tuesday afternoon. This way, the Pole had the opportunity to experience the new car in different grip levels.
„I just finished two days of testing, which were my first opportunity to get to know the F3 car. It was an incredible experience to feel the power and advanced aerodynamics of this vehicle, especially on such a technical track as Imola. The smile hasn’t left my face yet when I think about the speeds that can be achieved in the corners. The first session was very much about opportunity to familiarize in new environment. But from the second one, I was gaining more and more confidence behind the wheel. I would like to thank the MP Motorsport team for helping me adapt quickly to new conditions at every step. On Tuesday, we also drove on wet tires, which is a very valuable experience. I hope it will pay off in the future. Now, together with my team, we are focusing on finalizing the budget so that you can cheer for me during the FIA Formula 3™ Championship races in 2024. Keep your fingers crossed for this! I thank my partners ORLEN, Extral Aluminium, ORLEN Team Academy, Tenutado, and Drew-Lech, who enabled me to test the Formula 3 car.” – Kacper Sztuka summarized the tests.
