Kacper Sztuka is on the final stretch before his debut in the FIA Formula 3™ Championship. He has just completed the preseason tests, where over three days, he got to know the host of the inaugural round – the Sakhir circuit.
The full lineup of 30 drivers showed up in Bahrain. Traditionally, the first days were spent on media obligations, the results of which we will learn about in approximately 2 weeks during the opening round of the 2024 season.
The first day surprised the entire field with drizzling rain. In this way, activities on the track were significantly limited. The following days were already under the sign of weather more characteristic of this region of the world.
During the three days, Kacper completed a total of 146 laps. During their duration, together with the MP Motorsport team, they conducted several race and qualifying simulations, and additionally had the opportunity to adjust the car settings to various conditions. This provides solid baggage of experience on the final stretch of preparations for the first Formula 3 race in his career.
„It was great to return behind the wheel of Formula 3 and feel nearly 400 horsepower during acceleration again. I liked the Sakhir circuit from the first laps, even despite the rain that surprised everyone during these tests. The next days were already under the sign of dry surface dominance, thanks to which we could work on the settings and feel of the car. We did a very good job together with the MP Motorsport team, which will certainly pay off at the start of the season. I am especially pleased that I understand the work of tires better, which differs from other racing series, and this translates into confidence in driving. Now, the final stretch of preparations is ahead of me, to be optimally prepared for the debut in 2 weeks. I thank the Red Bull Junior Program, ORLEN Group, and Extral Aluminium for the support, which allows me to calmly think about the upcoming challenges.” – Kacper Sztuka summarized the official tests.
